Rudy is running for Michigan’s 96th House District which represents most of Bay County, including Bay City, Essexville, Kawkawlin, and the townships of Hampton, Bangor, Monitor, Portsmouth, Beaver, Merrit, Garfield, Fraser, and Frankenlust.
I chatted with Rudy recently on our podcast, The Righteous Uproar. We talked about his campaign platform and other issues facing folks in Bay County. What I apprciated about Rudy is that when he hit his mid-life crisis, as all men do, he didn’t go the usual route: buying a camero and going a little wild. Rudy decided to switch career paths and become a school teacher. This, along with his life experience prior to switch gears, makes him someone who understands people.
Pro-labor and dedicated to Bay County

“Rudy has deep Bay County roots and knows the value of hard work. His step-mother was an assistant county prosecutor, his grandfather an ordained minister, and his grandmother a public school teacher—all right here in Bay County. After a career in the automotive industry, he followed in their footsteps and moved back to Bay County to pursue becoming an educator here. He has earned masters degrees in public administration and education and has taught at schools in Bay, Saginaw, and Genesee counties. Rudy lives in Bay County with his wife, Tristica, and their dog, Esther. They have two children, Kara and Rudy Michael III, who are both in college.”
